February Fun

We continued our crazy start to 2016 with Cholla construction, the Phoenix Open, a trip to California for a little break and to celebrate Mimi's birthday and a second move into our new residence, a 3 bedroom apartment near TPC. Closer to school and the gym but further from Cholla providing lots of time in the car with Grace, trooper of the year.

Progress at Cholla with roof pitch and framing of dining room wall.
A girl and her chips. When you're 2, this is as excited as your get sitting front row at the 16th hole at the Phoenix Open.
Running into the Mooneys leaving 16.

Fun in the gymnastics pit.
My future view from the kitchen island.
Addmitance testing at OLPH. Question: "Does your mom work?"
Answer: "No, she goes to the gym. With my sister."

Cholla's questionable landscape has left us all with thorns, often going all the way through the soles of our shoes.
Not the best way to start the year, but we're thankful all basal cell carcinoma was successfully removed and we all pledge to use more sunscreen.

Sunset Boogie Boarding

Just one of those moments that you wish you could bottle up and save for forever. A beautiful sunset and a perfect time to be at the beach with Davis and Pops. Davis is pretty lucky to have a Pops who takes advantage of moments like these. We're both pretty lucky actually.

SLO in February

We had a much needed escape from the chaos of our living situation to SLO. We did our usual beach trips, visit to the barn, the park, bike riding and celebrated Mimi's birthday. Davis and Pops had daily games of checkers and chess and longer bike rides. We also had a nice visit with Uncle Tim, having recently relocated stateside.

A new wetsuit, early birthday present from Mimi and Pops.
So we'll always remember that hill thats the closest thing to a roller coaster.

Is there anything better than a brother that shleps buckets of water for your sandpit.
And when the water is just too much for her, Mimi swoops in with warm towels and snacks.
I believe she's complaining that she's wet in this one.

Grace making good progress on the balance bike.
