Jenkins in the Desert

Laurel and Philips visited from Louisiana the week after Thanksgiving.  Philips coordinated some clinical education at Mayo during their stay so they made a true vacation out of it and stayed at the Westin. We cooked at home the night they arrived and the kids got some good visit time in. The next day we had sunset drinks listening to the bagpiper at the Westin and then headed down to The Mission for supper. Friday, Grace and I met Laurel for a casual lunch and shopping at Kierland. Andrew's company Christmas party was that night so we had drinks at the Wrigley Mansion before dropping them off at Lon's for their own supper. Saturday we relaxed until we had one last visit at the house with the kids before heading to Isabella's for drinks and then to Roka Akor for Lyndsay's birthday and to hear Kelley James play. It was a wonderful visit.  I think we sent them home to see their girls exhausted but with a good taste of our Scottsdale life.  We were so thankful they planned their trip here to be with us.
