Anniversary Celebration at Daou Vineyard

There is always much to celebrate but our day at Daou was planned to be a special toast to my parents on their 38th wedding anniversary.  We left the children with a few special sitters and were off on our adult getaway. We had a wonderful 4 course lunch along with wine tasting. The rotunda was a beautiful spot with amazing views.  The food was as beautiful as delicious and the wine flowed freely. The breadsticks were pretty good too as you can see. (starving upon arrival) We could of stayed for hours more. It took the most pics of the whole trip, easier without kids running around. We missed Timothy and hope next year we can have a repeat with his joining in too. I'm so thankful for all of us committing to do this for them. Very special day.

Toasting these two isn't too hard

Christmas in California

We arrived at Mimi and Pops Christmas afternoon. They had a full house with everyone except for Uncle Tim, who was preparing to start business school in France. We had lots of play time with Noelani, our favorite cousin. We cooked and ate and drank lots of their good wine. We celebrated Mimi and Pops' anniversary with tante cooking up some good gumbo. We surprised them with a private lunch at Daou Vineyard in Paso Robles to celebrate their 38 years. Andrew and I escaped for a few nights leaving Mimi and Pops with hands full. We toasted to the new year, watched some good and bad (LSU) football and simply enjoyed being together, wether it was in the backyard or in a cardboard box. It was a Merry Christmas and happy anniversary and great way to start our New Year.
