We always feel blessed and very thankful for any family that travels to visit. Grandmother paid us a visit in July and braved the hot weather. She witnessed our busy schedule as I was on a trip when she arrived and Andrew was on a trip when she departed. She kept Davis steady. It was Christmas all over as she hauled many gifts from Mississippi, including two antique children's chairs. These proved a wonderful setup to the many hours of reading that would ensue. Indeed, Davis liked to 'put on a show' for "granmama". He read and read and played with her. She was a trooper. This showmanship carried over to swim lessons too. Looking forward to our next visit.

In sticking with the wedding theme this year, I joined the rest of the bridesmaids in San Diego for Lyndsay's bachelorette. It was my first night away from Davis without Andrew. It was Andrew's first night with Davis all to himself. Special time for all. I had a great time with the girls, felt young and old at the same time...'doing things I should only do when I was younger because I'm clearly to old for this'. We enjoyed nice restaurants and some good time poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel. Looking forward to the big day, July 28th.
