We returned to San Luis Obispo for the Straight Down Tournament, Andrew's third year. Its a very relaxing small town kinda of tournament. We are always able to relax and have a nice visit with my parents. He was able to partner with one of our nearest and dearest friends, Ricky. His wife, Suzanne, and new baby, Brady (3 months) joined the fun too. Davis and I flew out a day early and got settled in. The boys played great and had a good time despite losing in a playoff. Suz and I did attempt to follow the boys with the babies. The first day we made it to see one hole and the second day we made it to almost three. HA! A definite difference from last year. The second Davis realized it was Dad out there playing, it was all over. Maybe next year. We relaxed, drank wine, ate meals we didn't cook and visited. My brother and his wife, Kanani, also joined in for the weekend. Hope we're able to partake next year too.
|Suz and I ran out to support the boys for the playoff hole. It was an 8 man playoff.|
We also had a pleasant and unexpected visit from some New Orleans friends, the Vosbeins. They were traveling to Santa Barbara for the night. We had a nice visit and enjoyed hearing stories of dad in his younger years. Most stories remain in the vault. Uncle Robert shot this pic of the family.
